Working Principle

 

 

Load Transfer Path:

  • During Stacking: The weight from the upper IBC tank's bottom feet → transfers to the top frame of the lower tank → then to the vertical frame tubes → down to the bottom pallet → and finally to the ground. In this process, the vertical steel tubes mainly bear axial compression.
  • During Handling: When a forklift accidentally impacts the side of the IBC tank, the vertical steel tubes act as the outermost structural support. Their rigidity and toughness absorb impact energy, preventing the inner container from being punctured.

 

Inner Container Fixation: The vertical frame tubes, together with the top pressing structure (such as compression bars or mesh) and bottom corner protectors, clamp the HDPE inner container vertically, preventing it from moving up and down during transportation vibrations.

 

Applications

 

 

The strength and quantity of vertical frame tubes determine the suitability of IBC tanks for different scenarios:

  • General Chemical Industry: A standard structure with four vertical columns is sufficient for transporting water or low-density chemicals.
  • Heavy Industry: For high-density liquids, reinforced frames with thicker wall steel tubes or additional vertical columns are required to prevent deformation during stacking.
  • Export & Ocean Freight: During sea transport, containers are subject to movement and compression, so the welding quality of vertical steel tubes must withstand strong dynamic loads.
